A funny, embarrassing story I wanted to get off my chest
So kind of a funny story About a year ago my family and I went to the Dominican Republic for my cousins wedding (around Puerto Plata I think) The night before the wedding rehearsal began, a bunch of the guys and I went to a shitty little casino/night club that was located not too far from the all-inclusive hotel resort everyone was staying at as part of an impromptu bachelor party So before I continue let me say that I got serious emotional/social problems. I am paranoid as fuck, an kissless virgin, and probably have either social phobia or am somewhere on the autistic spectrum but have never officially been tested but I am a reasonably well functioning adult as long as I am not forced into social situations Anyway, while everyone went to the upstairs club to do whatever it is people do at clubs (dancing to shitty music I assume? Getting pushed around a sweaty, gross, crowded dance floor? I dunno, not my scene) I just sat downstairs in front of slot machine and probably browsed 4chan on my phone using the casino’s wifi network. Since I don’t have a cell phone plan that allowed data usage outside of the United States I could only use wifi networks but not make any phone calls or use the countries own cellular network for fear of big data charges So as I am just sitting there, waiting around for my cousins to finish up at the club, some random local girls starts coming up to me and chatting me up in broken English about I don’t remember what. I get nervous and start responding back in Spanish as I am bilingual enough to hold a conversation. She then proceeds to ask me if should could use my cell phone to make a phone call. I tell her no because of the whole data situation. It’s at the point that the spaghetti really starts flying and I proceed to leave, telling her that I needed to go see someone one some such half assed explanation. Now this whole time I am nervous as fuck, trying to go through multiple scenarios as to why this girl would be talking to me. I figure she is either a prostitute trying to get some action out of the dumb foreigner clearly out of place or just someone running some kind of scam. At best she probably really did just need a phone to call someone So as I am leaving to go rejoin the rest of my group; obviously show that I am nervous from the whole exchange, she yells “I WANT TO FACK JUU” in really shitty broken English at me. After that I just went upstairs without even looking at her again and stayed with my cousins for the rest of the time for fear of running into her again So the question is: Did I fuck up? Or was this girl probably just a prostitute and I was better off getting the hell out of there? [REMORSE]
