Husband has always wanted to stay at Caesars, so thinking about booking it for 2 nights as a surprise. The only problem is, we have never really spent much time in Caesars, and I don't know my way around. I know Octavius is the newest, and from what I can tell from the property map, Forum and Palace rooms seem to be quite the distance. Generally speaking, the tower hierarchy at Caesars Palace is: Augustus, Octavius, Palace or Nobu, Julius, Forum. Others may have a different opinion. Octavius and Palace will be closest to the pool, whereas Augustus is closest to reception and closest to the street. (no part of CP is near the street though) The Nobu and Julius rooms are smaller, Caesars Palace is in the middle of the densely packed three-and-a-half mile long stretch of hotel-casinos known as the Strip. The Bellagio (with its famous, street-facing fountain shows) is to the south, and the Mirage (connected to Caesars by a free tram) is to the north. The Flamingo and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurant are directly across the broad street. Palace Tower rooms are also very nice & typically have pool views--and elevator opens right to the pools. Julius Tower was just renovated but have smaller rooms, less likely of a view (mountains at best) Forum Tower rooms are fine, but other towers are nicer now; mountain views at best also The beds in the new Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace will tempt you to sleep late and take an afternoon nap. The large tub will make you fond of baths and the new technology that puts everything in the palm of your hands will have you making reservations to return to Caesars Palace as soon as possible. The best towers are Augustus and Octavius. The former was built around 2006 and features the largest standard rooms and best views of the Bellagio fountains. Octavius was the last tower built from the ground up. Palace hasn't been renovated recently to my knowledge. Guests of Caesars have a wide variety of room types and towers to choose from: The curving Julius Tower, which was the first tower constructed and is located right in the center of the casino; the Forum Tower, the Palace Tower, and the most recent Augustus Tower and Octavius Tower. Palace Tower rooms are also very nice & typically have pool views--and elevator opens right to the pools. Julius Tower was just renovated but have smaller rooms, less likely of a view (mountains at best) Forum Tower rooms are fine, but other towers are nicer now; mountain views at best also Julius Tower – the Julius Tower is the most recently renovated tower in Caesars Palace and was opened in January 2016 after nearly $75 million was spent upgrading the tower. Formerly the Roman Tower (one of the oldest in the hotel), the Julius Tower features 14 stories and 587 rooms ranging from standard moderately priced rooms to luxurious suites upwards of $1K a night. Palace Tower has the biggest of the standard rooms and with the recent remodel look exactly the same as Augustus towers. North facing rooms have great views of north strip. This tower is more centrally located to resort amenities (Pool, Forum Shops, Restaurant) everything but Spa, its closest to the pools but furthest from the doors to get to the strip.
