First of all, I haven't created the site just yet as I am risk averse when it comes to potentially breaking laws. I am located in the US and understand the laws around operating such a site are stringent. But how about if I purchase server space in a country that has legalized online gambling? And what if most of the daily operations are outsourced to people located outside the US? Would there be a way of legally collecting the revenue in the US? I ideally would pay the appropriate taxes.

I'm interested in gambling but I don't have any casinos nearby. Is it legal for me to use an online gambling website?
The only information I have seen regarding this is gambling websites saying "ya its totally legal, go ahead, we are based outside of the US!", but I really don't want to break any laws (even if I don't get caught), and would love it if anybody can cut through the BS and knows the specific laws regarding this.

Women continue to be conditioned to accept sub-par treatment by these kinds of narratives. The ladies of FDS refuse to help relationships "survive trauma" that is LITERALLY CREATED BY THE MAN IN THE RELATIONSHIP AND HIS SELFISH AND OVERALL TERRIBLE DECISIONS.

‘I was in prison for 2,192 days; she wrote to me almost daily’

Laure, 58, and Jerry, 62, survived his jail sentence for causing death by dangerous driving. They live in Alabama, and now run a support network for the families of prisoners.
Laure Jerry and I met in 1995 and married four months later. I tell him all the time I would marry him again, but faster. We’d both been married twice before and dating was the last thing I was looking for. But he ticked all the boxes.
I had two daughters and he had one. We moved our family from Tennessee to Alabama, to raise them in the country. We were living the dream. But on 17 March 2003, it was shattered when Jerry caused a head-on car collision which killed a young mother. He had been driving drunk.
I felt rage, betrayal. When we met, we were both recovering alcoholics, so I had only known him sober. Now a life had been lost. I didn’t want him dead, but I wanted him to hurt real bad. We lived in a small town, and I grieved for that family. I felt embarrassment. I had to get to the forgiveness part quickly so I could get through each day.
Jerry spent 10 days in the ICU. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to six years in prison and 19 on probation. I was scared – emotionally, practically, financially, spiritually. I wanted to stay married but didn’t know how. I didn’t know what you do when someone you love is in prison.

Keith Claire and I had known each other in the 80s, and reconnected online 20 years later. Claire was living abroad, and I was on my way to broke. She’d make short trips to the UK, and we’d laugh through days out and long lunches. She was intelligent, full of life; a better person than I was.
I first entered a casino at 16. By 18, I’d borrowed, conned and stolen from everyone I knew. I was an addict. Through adulthood, I’d made and lost small fortunes and entire businesses. I’d play Monopoly for real money, or sit in a room of the club I owned, drinking brandy, snorting as much cocaine as I could.
I wasn’t a constant drug user or gambler. When Claire visited, I’d try to keep it together; but then I’d get desperate and make excuses to go to London for “work”. When she moved to the UK with her three kids in 2009, I’d disappear into a room of the home we shared for days, in a heady state of gambling, drugs and porn, too embarrassed to re-emerge. I had intermittent spells in Gambling Anonymous, but I found it hard to ask for help.
Claire paid for the house and put food on the table. I never stole from her, but I’m still surprised she didn’t walk out. By 2014, I’d had a heart attack and was nursing my mother, who had cancer. I would drive her to the hospital every day, off my tits, bring her home, make her food, then shut myself in another room and gamble online.
I couldn’t see myself in the mirror any more. I wanted to die. On 28 June 2014, I logged on to a website for people seeking affairs and used it for porn. That decision would almost end us: when Claire discovered the website in her search history, she sent me a Dear John letter. The next day, she drove me to residential rehab. The only rule I broke there was asking her to spend one night. I had to save the relationship.
I’ve been clean for six years now; Claire is part of the reason why. People talk about languages of love. For me those are quality time, acts of service. Boy, were there acts of kindness and service from Claire. Without her, I could well be dead.
Claire I was 18, and a poor student, when I first met Keith. He seemed glamorous, exciting, funny, intelligent. He was also a known gambler, but when we reconnected years later, that appeared to be in his past. Yet, with hindsight, nothing about the start of our relationship makes sense.

Maryam When Amir had an affair, I had a thousand reasons to leave but looked for the one to stay. Our relationship had started as an affair, too. One night, we were up late, talking, while my husband slept. Amir opened up about his marriage and I began to sense he had feelings for me. I had relationship problems, too, and we started an affair. Dan survives the heart attack at David and Darleens wedding. This gives him a new hope for life and gets him working harder. The prison job finishes and Dan goes back to work for the city. He and Roseanne remain married but go through a lot of difficulties.
The restaurant starts to fail by the 5th year of business and its time to call it quits. Roseanne feels extremely defeated. A new grocery store moves into town and Roseanne becomes the grocery manager and finds it less stressful to work for someone else.
Cousin Ronnie passes of breast cancer leaving Roseanne and Jackie inheritance. Jackie uses the money to start nursing school where she feels she has really found her passion. Jackie and Fred have a good relationship when it comes to raising Andy. Andy has his mind on the military. Jackie enjoys single life but signs up for a dating site. She’s reconnected with Booker and they marry.
Becky and Mark are still married. Mark is now a certified HVAC installer and Becky is an RN. They have two sons. Becky had a hard time staying in Lanford so they branched out and moved.
Darleen took an unfortunate turn. After the wedding Darleen struggled with not being able to finish school and live her dreams. She began drinking which eventually led to her divorce with David. David has Harris full time and is closer to Roseanne and Dan than Darleen is. Darleen reunites with Jimmy who invites her to move to Chicago. She thinks she’ll be able to finish school but she struggles and begins using drugs.
DJ continues his interest with audio video and eventually moves to California to attend school for digital design. He eventually becomes a successful editor and marries a woman he meets in California.
Nana Mary dies peacefully. Beverly declines yet still lives. Roseanne visits her often and reads poems to her.
Crystal and Ed end up not working out after Angela is born. Ed continues to work and travel while Crystal stays behind working at a Walmart. Ed has a heart attack on the road and does not make it. Crystal goes into a deep depression because she has wasted her whole life. She becomes obsessed with online gambling and online culture and hardly leaves the house.

He avoids Dan because he’s addicted to painkillers and doesn’t want Dan to find out. Nancy and Iggy begin using drugs regularly which leads to their being homeless. Nancy is completely unrecognizable to anyone who knows her.
Rod bells closes for good and is replaced by a Walmart.

DraftKings

Already, there is a shortage of chips worldwide which means demand and prices would surge. One company poised to benefit from this growing demand is AMD. The company has managed to chip away at Intel's CPU dominance thanks to its superior product line, which is based on a smaller manufacturing node, allowing it to deliver better computing performance and reduce power consumption. Apart from that, Tesla is the leader in its sector and continues to increase its delivery numbers. Tesla is now the most valuable auto company in the world. It has recently surpassed Facebook (FB) by market capitalization. The stock has recently received upgrades from analysts and if the EV market continues to evolve, Tesla would continue to be in the pole position, which gives it significant market share and of course revenue.
GrowGeneration Corp.
For those looking at balance sheets and income statements, GrowGeneration Corp is one highly profitable marijuana stock to watch in 2021. I've received some new info on what "campus repopulation" will look like for Fall.
As you all now, in Dec, the CSU system announced the goal to reopen all campuses by fall 2021. They haven't released - as far as I know - any more info beyond that.
I've heard numbers like "50% of classes back on campus" bandied about but I've yet to hear concrete plans as to how that might be achievable. The feeling amongst staff/faculty is that this seems unrealistic for a few reasons:
1) Repopulating campus is fundamentally about risk assessment. The univ. wouldn't reopen classes if they feel like there's too much risk involved there. Keep this basic idea in mind for the rest.
2) Decisions to re-open classes have to be made right around now. The school doesn't want to promise in spring "we're reopening MATH 102 on campus" and then turn around in August and say "yeah, sorry, we can't do it." But likewise, if they make a class online now, they can't turn around and turn it into an in-person class later. They have to commit to decisions now, in light of limited data.
And remember: they're managing risk. Keeping more classes online is less risky than overpromising on bringing classes back to campus.
3) The rates of vaccination are nowhere near what you'd need them to be to have a critical mass of the campus population vaccinated in time for fall. Current on-campus staff will have access and presumably, other staff and faculty will later this spring. But as most students - who don't have pre-existing medical conditions - are lumped into the general population for vaccine access, there's no reliable forecast as to what % will be vaccinated by fall.
4) Regardless of vaccination progress, the physical classrooms themselves would be subject to guidelines around air circulation and social distancing and logistically, that makes things very challenging. Your standard class caps around 40 enrolled students but if you're only allowed to use 1/4 or 1/3 of the physical classroom space in order to maintain distancing, then you have a basic capacity issue.
(For this reason, large - 100+ student - classes this fall in CLA will be online. That decision was made months ago and it won't change no matter what. So if you're taking any larger lecture courses in the College of Liberal Arts in the fall, just know with 100% certainty, that class will be online. I don't know what the policy is for other colleges on campus but I'd be surprised if they were much different. 5) I can only speak for my immediate experiences with this but I know myself and my colleagues are being given the option to keep teaching online and it's been made very clear that any attempt to force faculty back to teach in person for fall would be met with heavy resistance. Given everything else, it also doesn't make sense for the univ. to pressure faculty to come back to campus when it doesn't know what conditions will be like come fall. Spring 2022 may be a different story though so right now, I'm just talking about Fall 2021.
6) With all this said, I do expect more classes may return on campus in Fall. That seems reasonable. But how much more is the question.
Again, if you hear "50%" you should be skeptical about that. It might be a goal but based on everything we know now, it doesn't seem like a realistic one and more to the point, given that those decisions need to be made now I can't imagine a scenario where the school would gamble on things magically being good enough to get to that goal based on what information we have right now.
That said, even if it's just 10-20%, that's probably a big leap over what it is now. And to be clear, there's definitely faculty who'd like to come back to campus, especially if they've been vaccinated. I'd love to start teaching in person again but I already know all my classes will be online for Fall. Other instructors might have the option to come back and again, I'm sure some will take that opportunity. Just don't expect 50%.

I have a debit card tied to my checking account and I know the Cash app and Coinbase offered very reasonable 1.5% fees especially for INSTANT transfer. But the reason I have zero posts is this is a throwaway account. I was banned from Coinbase for online gambling. And as for the Cash app... I had my account compromised recently. I made this posts 4 months ago on LegalAdvice but didn’t really get any help there. I still have all the money and bitcoin and since the price of BTC almost doubled since then, I have around $2 mil in BTC now. Hope I can get better help here.
I know it sounds very ridiculous, but bear with me. I was 17, recently turned 18 and I earned some bitcoins online from doing some grey activities such as selling Netflix accounts. I deposited around $200 on a crash gambling bitcoin site.
I didn’t really give a shit and got really lucky. But I didn’t wanna stop, I just kept going. Unlike most gambling addicts I actually got lucky and got millions of dollars. My friends convinced me to stop gambling (lucky for me) and I’ve withdrawn the money to my bitcoin wallet. Not gonna share any info for privacy reasons, obviously.
Anyways, I am wondering how I would get that money to my bank legally. Like I can’t imagine having to explain them that I won $1.2 million USD gambling online. I was also thinking about just keeping my money in bitcoin and slowly withdrawing the money to my bank to avoid any taxes if there are any, I’m not quite sure.
I really need some advice here because I’m kinda lost. I would probably be under federal investigation if I ever went to a bank and tried to explain them what happened and that wouldn’t be great for me because before my big gambling win I did do some grey activities online such as selling cracked accounts which made me earn the initial funds that I put to gamble.

So recently I noticed a gaming chair company doing a "raffle" where if you buy a chair in a certain small time frame, you'll be entered to win their "raffle" for a variety of big prizes while partnering with big name streamers.
Noticing they used the word Raffle... I immediately searched for a "no purchase necessary" and as expected, there was a lack of it.
It was my understanding that Raffles are reserved for Non-Profit Organizations and not allowed for businesses to run, and in which this should instead fall into a "sweepstakes" that lacks an option for no purchase necessary, requiring the participants to pay upwards of about $300 to enter for a chance to win.
Am I misunderstanding or isn't this incredibly illegal under gambling laws online? I thought a form with the Ic3 but, It seemed they'd require to you to first become a victim of it and there's no way I'm supporting a business that's doing this.

Eric Matejevich — Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Matejevich is a seasoned gaming executive with extensive experience in both the online gaming and traditional casino industries. From February to August 2019, he served as Trustee and Interim-Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Casino Resort (“Ocean”) (formerly Revel Casino, which had a construction cost of $2.4 billion) in Atlantic City, where he successfully led the management team through an ownership change and operational turnaround effort. Over the course of seven months, Mr. Matejevich managed to reduce the property’s weekly cash burn of $1.5 million to an annualized cash flow run rate in excess of $20 million.
Prior to Ocean, from 2016 to 2018, Mr. Matejevich served as the Chief Financial Officer of NYX. At NYX, he focused his efforts on integrating the company’s many acquisitions and multiple debt refinancings to simplify its capital structure and provided liquidity for growth initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Matejevich was instrumental to the executive team that sold NYX to Scientific Games for $631 million.
Prior to NYX, from 2004 to 2014, Mr. Matejevich was the Chief Financial Officer of Resorts International Holdings and later, from 2011, also the Chief Operating Officer of the Atlantic Club Casino, a property under the Resorts International Holdings umbrella — a Colony Capital (NYSE: CLNY) entity. As Chief Financial Officer, he provided managerial oversight for all finance functions for a six-property casino company with annual gaming revenue exceeding $1.3 billion, 10,000 gaming positions, 7,000 hotel rooms and over 11,000 staff members during his tenure. In his efforts, Mr. Bailey partnered with two of the largest digital gaming companies in the world, PokerStars, part of the Stars Group, and DraftKings (Nasdaq: DKNG). In 2010, Mr. Bailey bought Resorts Atlantic City (“Resorts”) and initiated a comprehensive renovation which allowed for the property to be rebranded and repositioned. Mr. Rodio has nearly four decades of experience in the gaming industry. Marlon Goldstein — Director Nominee
Mr. Goldstein is a licensed attorney with nearly 20 years of experience in the gaming space. He joined The Stars Group (Nasdaq: TSG)(TSX: TSGI) in January 2014 as its Executive Vice-President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary until his retirement from the company in July 2020 following the merger of TSG with Flutter Entertainment, PLC (LSE: FLTR). Mr. Goldstein also previously served as the Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development and General Counsel of TSG. Mr. Goldstein was also the senior TSG executive based in the United States and was one of the primary architects of TSG’s strategic vision for its U.S.-facing business. While the Director of Games Partnerships, Mr. Ryan focused on re-shaping Facebook’s games and monetization strategies to derive more value for Facebook, its users and its partners, including the addition of a Real Money Gaming offering in regulated markets. Mr. Ryan’s team helped accelerate a major trend in engagement through cross-platform games and therefore the opportunity to increase users through establishing games on multiple platforms. Prior to joining Facebook, Mr. Ryan created the new social and mobile games division at News Corp, an American multinational mass media corporation controlled by Rupert Murdoch. While at News Corp, Mr. Ryan led the acquisition of Making Fun, a San Francisco social-game start-up, that created News Corp’s games publishing division.
Before joining News Corp., Mr. Ryan founded multiple digital businesses such as Twofish, Meez, Open Wager and SingShot Media. Mr. Ryan co-founded Twofish in 2009, a virtual goods and services platform that provided developers with data analytics and insights for individual application’s digital economies. Twofish was later sold to online payments provider Live Gamer, where Mr. Ryan served on the board of directors. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Ryan founded and led Meez.com, a social entertainment service combining avatars, web games and virtual worlds. The white label social casino gaming company Open Wager was spun out of Meez and was later sold to VGW Holdings, Mr. Ryan also co-founded SingShot Media, an online karaoke community, which was sold to Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: EA) and merged into its Sims division.

Tom Roche — Director Nominee
Mr. Roche has more than 40 years of experience in the gaming industry as a regulator, advisor and independent auditor. Mr. Roche joined Ernst & Young (“EY”) as a partner in 2003 and opened its Las Vegas office. He was subsequently appointed as the Office Managing Partner and Global Gaming Industry Market Leader. In 2016, Mr. Roche relocated to the EY Hong Kong office to supervise the expansion of the EY Global Gaming Industry practice in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Roche has been integral to numerous transactions that have shaped the current gaming landscape, including:
• Wynn Resorts (Nasdaq: WYNN) initial public offering: Mr. Roche was the lead partner on Wynn Resort’s initial public offering, which raised $450 million in 2002.
• Harrah’s Entertainment/Apollo Management Group & Texas Pacific Group: Mr. Roche headed the regulatory advisory services on the buyout of Harrah’s Entertainment, the world’s largest casino company at the time, for $17.1 billion.
• Dubai World/MGM Resorts: Mr. Roche headed the regulatory and due diligence advisory services to Dubai World in its approximately $5.1 billion investment in MGM. Dubai World bought 28.4 million MGM shares, or 9.5 percent of the casino operator, for $2.4 billion. It then invested $2.7 billion to acquire a 50% stake in MGM’s CityCenter Project, a $7.4 billion 76-acre Las Vegas development of hotels, condos and retail outlets.
• MGM Growth Properties (NYSE: MGP) initial public offering: Mr. Roche provided tax and structural transaction services to MGM Resorts in the creation of MGM Growth Properties, a publicly traded REIT engaged in the acquisition, ownership and leasing of large-scale destination entertainment and leisure resorts. MGM Growth Properties raised $1.05 billion in its 2016 initial public offering.
Mr. Roche also directed EY advisory services to boards and management teams for profit improvement and technology related initiatives. In addition, Mr. Roche provided advisory support to the American Gaming Association on several research projects, including those specifically related to sports betting, the revocation of The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) and anti-money laundering best practices in the gaming industry. Equally, he has assisted government agencies in numerous international locations with enhancing their regulatory approach to governing the industry especially in the online gambling sector.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Mr. Roche served as Deloitte’s National Gaming Industry Leader and as the co-head of Andersen’s Gaming Industry Practice in Las Vegas. In 1989, Mr. Roche was appointed by then Governor of the State of Nevada, Robert Miller, to serve as one of three members of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board for a four-year term, where he was directly responsible for the Audit and New Games Lab Divisions. As a board member, he spent a substantial amount of time assisting global jurisdiction regulators enact gaming legislation in the design of their regulatory structure. During his career, Roche has been involved in numerous public and private offerings of equity and debt securities. His background includes providing casino regulatory consulting services to casino licensees and to federal and state agencies including the National Indian Gaming Commission and the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, and industry associations such as the Nevada Resort Association and the American Gaming Association.

I was bored today, and since I saw some friends playing blackjack online, I thought I would try gambling for the first time. I was referred to an online casino (Ignition Casino). Signed up and they had asked for:

I just assumed they needed the information because gambling is regulated in the U.S., but then I checked after I had already signed up and deposited money that they did not currently operate under a license.
